On March 31, 1980, you asked whether you, as Assistant
City Solicitor for the City of Williamsport, would have to
list certain insurance companies of clients of your firm.
Client's names are only required to be disclosed where
the public official or public employee has received $500 or
more for services to that client before his or her govern-
mental body.
I am enclosing Section 5.7 and 5.8 of our regulations
which will provide additional detail.
Pursuant to Section 7(9) (ii), this advice is a com-
plete defense in any enforcement proceeding initiated by
the Commission, and evidence of good faith conduct in any
other civil or criminal proceeding, providing the request -
or has disclosed truthfully all the material facts and
committed the acts complained of in reliance on the advice
given.
You may appeal this Advice to the Commission if you
