This request could not be answered until regulations were developed. The Commission approved their publication on April 7, 1980 and you are advised as follows: Forms have been sent to all municipal secretaries. However, I am enclosing 6 for your use. Enclosures DRM /rdp 1. Municipal and school board solicitors are required to file Financial Interest Statements by May 1 of each year. These statements are to be filed with their governmental bodies. 2. Professionals and other attorneys shall disclose those sources of income of $500 or more paid for services related to matters before the governmental body with which the public official, public employee or candidate is or would be associated. I am enclosing Sections 5.7 & 5.8 of our regulations which will give you more details. 3. If a firm is appointed as solicitor, the governmental body is to designate the person in the firm who shall file a Financial Interest Statement. The form does not have to include information for each shareholder, director, and officer of the professional corporation. 4. Municipal code enforcement officers are subject to the provisions of the Act and must file a Financial Interest Statement. Sincere (/4 David R.
