Act 170 application to a school director candidate
also appointed as treasurer for a class reunion
committee.
On October 3, 1979, Mr. De Blassio asked whether
his being named as treasurer for the class reunion committee
while also being a candidate for school director required
the disclosure of the committee account on his financial
interest statement.
Section 5, (b), 5, requires the name and address of any
person who is the direct or indirect source of income totalling
in the aggregate of $500.00 or more.
The money to be used for the class reunion is not
a source of income to Mr. DeBlassio.
Mr. DeBlassio is not required to report funds of the
class reunion committee on his financial disclosure statement.
Pursuant to Section 7(9((ii), this advice is a
complete defense in any enforcement proceeding initiated
by the Commission, and evidence of good faith conduct in
any other civil or criminal proceeding, providing the
requestor has disclosed truthfully all the material facts
and committed the acts complained of in reliance on the
advice given.
