Does a township zoning officer have to rile a statement or finanical interest? 2. Does the township sewage officer have to file a :statement of financial interest? 3. Do =bars ors of the township planning conmisnion who receive no compensation have to comply with the Act? nuention 1 t 2 will be decided between now and necemT:er of 1979 'through a Commission opinion or rules and regulations. We will notify you when those decisions are ;jade. I£ township zoning officers and sewage officers are determined to be public employees, they will have until Play 1, 1930 to file a statement. Ueribers of the planning commission who receive no cone' nsation and are appointed are not covered by Act 170. I am enclosing copies of prior Commission opinions on this question. In accordance with Section 7(9)(ii), this advice "shall be a complete defense in any inforcenent proceedings intitiate by the Commission, and evidence with good faith conduct in any other civil or criminal zal proceeding, if the requestor, at least 21 working days prior to the ledge violation requested written advice from the Commission in good faith, and disclose truthfully all the material facts and committed the acts complained of either in reliance on the advice or because of the failure of the Commission to provide advice within 21 days of the request of such later extended time."
